Prime Attractions

First of all, I check out the Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park. This is a shockingly water and adventure park for family situated in a tropical delight. Experience the breathtaking 40 water rides (may be more than that) and a myriad of land-based ones such as small golf and go-carts. Really, if you come along with children and young ones, this is the must include visit for fun-filled day. Nevertheless, even adults have their own feel of joy with great discounts and party packages.

Next, the Gulfarium on the Okaloosa Island is simply a nature paradise presented by man to explore a living coast. Herein, watch out for porpoises, sea lions, otters, and alligators, and much more marine life on display in uninterrupted setting via big glass windows. To augment your excitement, this site also organizes for scuba diving almost daily and dolphin programs. This was the first time I saw a Dolphin show.

The Boogies Glass Bottom Boat on the Choctawahatchee Bay is the ideal draw of the city where you can rent on some wave runners, parasailing, jet skis, and pontoon boats. A glass bottom boat on pontoon rentals is the most demanding one along with the wave runner guided tour via which you can see a dolphin in this real and natural sea at the coast. Among the other tourist attractions in Destin Florida listed here, this was my favorite.

If you are looking for some cruising, the Sea Blaster is the perfect one for some relaxation and fun on a cruise. You and your family can pick some joy and collections of the harbor along with the Gulf of Mexico. Looking for some more thrills? Head towards The Track for go-karts, mini-golf, bumper-rides, kid’s country (for the little ones,) and Bungee Jump along with the new Sky Flyer. Do not forget to visit the Gator Beach to see and feed gators, which is rarely an opportunity to receive and live up to its fullest.

Shifting a bit away from the fun on beaches, I headed to explore the Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center to find about the past of Florida that is 14,000 years old. Ah! That’s a long history, but let me tell you that it is not boring with its Indian Temple Mound museum and the great exhibit of native American pottery. It ensures that you and your family have a great time while being away from the shore.

Check out for some beautiful golf courses such as the Emerald Bay golf course, the Golf Garden, and Kelly plantation golf course. If you enthusiasm is still not rewarded, do try out for some great shopping opportunities with discount prices in the Silver Sands Factory Outlets – a retail paradise, the Market Shops at Sandestin, and many shopping villages.

Talking about eating, I am about to mention the local’s favorite – The Crab Trap whose meals are really the best one in Destin amid a cool ambience. Hey, and wait! You just cannot satisfy your trip without the taste of fresh-made ice cream of Bruster’s Real Ice Cream. Give yourself a chill by partying with the best Peach and Black Raspberry Ice Cream or even a sorbet parfait. Another mention in the list of great food and amazing atmosphere in this list of tourist attractions in Destin Florida is Fudpuckers.
